What was intended to be a year abroad to get it out of my system and write has turned into a new career path, but I am passionate about travel writing - capturing a new, or even familiar, place so eloquently that the smells and feelings associated with it are tangible. From Profesor Durham's class junior year to my meager little blog, I've been chasing story and jotting down my observations, hoping Matador will hire me.
I started with Dan over at Café Abroad, who liked my work enough to publish a whole series of articles on his site about life in Spain. When the site shut down, I lost all those articles. Next, my buddy Matt from college gave me the chance to write as often as I wanted on his page, the wildy awesome BackpackingMatt.com. Maybe now I can start to actually live this dream now that I've got some clips!
Below you'll find some of my published work.
